A Jericho Scrapbook: Inside an Oxford Community Saved from Destruction is a transcript of a 1955 compilation of reminiscences, photographs, commentary, and ephemera, compiled by an early St Hilda’s College student, Constance Hawtrey. Here, new insights into the three major events of 1825 were provided: the sale of the first building plots, the arrival of the Oxford University Press, and the establishment of what became Lucy’s Ironworks.
